Zhongguancun is the name of a small village located north of Beijing. Before 1949, this was a natural small village with 70 households and 276 people, and the surrounding cemetery accounted for more than 30% of the land. In 1952, the Chinese Academy of Sciences was located here. Another year, Yanjing University merged with Peking University, forming a teaching and research area in the north of the village. In the future, several key research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and large-scale employee dormitories were built in the Zhongguancun area, becoming a highly concentrated area for scientific researchers. In Chen Chunxian's mind, "the talent density here is by no means lower than in the San Francisco and Boston areas, and the quality is not bad either. I always feel that there is great potential that has not been tapped out.

Chen Chunxian has been excited about his idea for a long time. After his third visit to China, he finally decided to start from himself and give birth to China's Silicon Valley. Under his constant efforts, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology became his supporter. This weak association lent Chen Chunxian 200 yuan and helped him open a company account. So, as the New Year approached, Chen Chunxian established the first private technology entity in China, the Advanced Technology Development Service Department of the Beijing Plasma Society, in a warehouse in Zhongguancun.
